Erin Flaherty

Erin Flaherty is a beauty, health, and wellness writer and editor who has contributed to numerous publications including Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, The Wall Street Journal, V Magazine, and many more print and digital outlets. She began her career at Allure, then spent the majority of the early aughts as the beauty and health director of Jane, a legendary magazine devoted to diversity, inclusion, and feminism. She went on to become a founding editor of Yahoo Shine, one of the first major web platforms written for women, by women, where she tackled subjects ranging from sexual health to politics. More recently, she was an executive editorial director of beauty and health at Marie Claire and Harper’s Bazaar,and subsequently joined Digitas, a digital marketing agency, as VP content director, primarily leading the CVS team. She is devoted to women’s issues, and is a proud volunteer at Family of Woodstock, which aids domestic violence clients in addition to providing social services, and is a board member of the Women’s Global Empowerment Fund, an NGO that helps provide health access and entrepreneurial opportunities for women in underserved populations. She lives in upstate NY with her husband Shya and two dogs, Violet and Billie.
