Traci Kurtzer
Clinical Advisor

Dr. Kurtzer received her Medical Degree from the University of Florida and postgraduate training at Rush-Presbyterian-St Lukes Hospital in Chicago. She was a solo private practice OB/Gyn for 15 years and recognized early in her career the need for supporting her patients dealing with interpersonal violence. She eventually translated that experience into her role as Medical Director of Trauma Informed Care & Education while Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of OB/Gyn Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. As a clinician for the Northwestern Medicine Center for Sexual Medicine and Menopause, she also created and ran the first gynecologic clinic dedicated to trauma informed, post- sexual assault care in the Chicagoland area. She currently works independently as a consultant and educator for Trauma Informed Solutions for Healthcare, LLC.
Dr Kurtzer is an expert in both menopause transition and female sexual dysfunction, particularly vulvar and sexual pain disorders, and was awarded the Certified Menopause Practitioner of the Year by the North American Menopause Society (NAMS) in 2019. She is also a nationally recognized expert and invited speaker on violence against women, human trafficking, domestic and sexual violence, and trauma informed care. She has been honored with numerous national and local awards in recognition of her efforts in preventing violence against women through both her innovative clinic dedicated to the care of survivors of sexual abuse and assault and her community volunteer work.
Her focus at Alloy will be on providing trauma-informed, patient centered care to midlife women. She is particularly grateful to be of service to our patients with a history of medical trauma or with disabilities, who are gender non-conforming, or who have limited access to medical care for any reason.
