# How to Apply for Even Coverage and Less Product Waste

> Learn how to apply M4 skincare evenly with minimal waste using dotting and airless pump dosing for precise face and eye cream coverage.

## What application method helps ensure even coverage with minimal product waste?

A really simple way to get even, consistent coverage without wasting product is to dot it around your face before you start rubbing it in. In one of our videos, you can actually see this in action. The creator dots the M4 cream across her face first, which helps spread it evenly so you’re not overapplying in one area and underapplying in another. You can watch that here: [application tips](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMzbiIKyUgg&t=34s).

Here at Alloy, all of our M4 bottles are airless pumps, so you also get a controlled, precise amount every time you press the pump. The M4 Eye Cream, for example, is designed to dispenses a half pump per eye, and the Face Cream and Face Serum each dispense exactly one pump for the full face and neck. That built in portioning makes it easier to avoid using more than you need.
