# How are GLP-1 doses typically adjusted over time

## How are GLP-1 doses typically adjusted over time?

At Alloy, GLP-1 doses (such as compounded liraglutide or semaglutide/Wegovy®) are typically started at a low dose and gradually increased over several weeks. This process, called titration, helps your body adjust and minimizes side effects. For example, with compounded liraglutide, you might start at 0.6 mg per day and slowly increase to the full maintenance dose (often 3 mg daily) over several weeks. Each dose level is usually maintained for at least four weeks before considering an increase.

Your doctor will monitor your progress, side effects, and weight loss results to determine if and when your dose should be adjusted. If you reach a plateau or your hunger returns, your doctor may recommend increasing your dose. Dose adjustments and ongoing support are a key part of Alloy’s Weight Care Program, and you can request changes directly through your Alloy dashboard.
