## Can topical estrogen be used alongside other hormone therapies or birth control?

Yes, you can use topical estrogen alongside other hormone therapies or birth control. Here at Alloy, we talk about this a lot because it’s a common worry, and thankfully the science is pretty reassuring.

Topical estrogens, like vaginal estrogen or estriol-based skincare such as our M4 line, work locally in the tissue where they’re applied. They don’t raise systemic estrogen levels in any meaningful way. That’s why they’re safe to use with:

• systemic menopausal hormone therapy, like estradiol patches, pills, or progesterone• low dose birth control pills during perimenopause
